We Are Uniquely Qualified
I was sitting watching the birds in all of their vivid colors. With personalities, songs, male, female, each so incredibly unique and beautiful in their own right. I then think of us, people, and our proclivities, personalities, gifts, and talents. Often we wish to be like someone else, have the characteristics of the person we see down the street or in the store, maybe at work or in school. When we do we miss the best part of who we are.
Character At All Times
We often think that what we’re going through is forever. It may seem like forever but each season will end. In Ecclesiastes there is a truth about life and living:
“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven”. Ecclesiastes 3:1 New International Version (NIV)
It is not what happens to us that makes much difference, it is what we do with what happens that exposes strengths and our weakness that often builds our character.
In His Time
“LORD, please show me every day! As You’re teaching me Your way, That You do just what you say! In Your time!” - Maranatha Singers
The key line is “In Your time,” oh, this one is hard some days! I am a “get things accomplished”; check off my list of “to-dos” kind of a person.
Trusting God
When I consider the last few months with illness, the death of my father-in-law, illness within my immediate family, and business challenges, I am reminded that my trust lies in one who has always been by my side. He may be carrying me at times. He may be in the midst of the struggle providing encouragement. He may be that still small voice when I’m on my knees.
